Get to the public meeting in Magherafelt Council building, Civic Room, Thursday 6th Dec at 7pm.
This is the first time they have had a public debate in Magherafelt since removing services as far back as 2006, take your opportunity to have your voice heard and I will try my best to make sure its listened to.
The main question is the legality of making decisions, implementing them before the end of a public consultation? A letter has been sent to the Health Minister to extend the consultation period so that residents in Mid Ulster can be informed on exactly what it is they are consulting upon.
While the new A&E at Antrim is very welcomed, it has not moved any closer to Mid Ulster, still will be under staffed, it has the same operational size as the old one it will replace and the new 24 bed ward is already designated for elderly care, not A&E overflow.
