This consultation is on the Minister’s proposals for changes in the delivery of Health and Social Care in Northern Ireland following consideration of the proposals set out in the Transforming Your Care (TYC) report published in December 2011.
TYC highlighted that we have a growing and ageing population. This is to be celebrated and we have much to be proud of in our Health and Social Care system. We also are likely to face rising demand for our services, and this presents challenges for the future. TYC is about making changes to ensure we have safe, high quality and sustainable services for our patients, service users and staff. In making these changes, there are choices to be made about how we organise ourselves to provide the best possible care to everyone in Northern Ireland. We want your comments and views on the consultation document Transforming Your Care: Vision to Action which summarises our key proposals for change. It is based on our draft plans: local area Population Plans and an overarching Strategic Implementation Plan, which are available here to view or download. We need your views on the way forward and the choices ahead.
