While the tax payer is footing the bill for an ever decreasing health system, unaccountable Health Chiefs have been stashing the cash in what is call Cash Equivalent Transfer Voucher pots. While technically not called a bonus this pot raises for every years’ service that the top health chiefs serve.

A total of £32,909,000 of public tax payer’s money is sitting in CETV vaults for a select few health chiefs. While we are constantly being bombarded about lack of finances at every turn around we see massive amounts of tax payers’ money being spent or horded, in this case what is technically a bonus. This stealth bonus culture within the health service must be put to an end and every step taken to ensure maximum funding is given to acute and social care in the future.
The Mid Ulster hospital, a hospital that was built to save the lives of residents of Mid Ulster lays nearly empty due to the health trust following directions from the Assembly, both these institutions tried to tell the public to accept cuts based on finance. The Mid Ulster Hospital was never shut on finance it was shut by Developing Better Services published 10 years ago. We in Mid Ulster will not accept anything less that the restoration of actue health services in Mid Ulster.
