The Northern Health & Social Care Trust sent 15, 000 plus patients private in order to deliver the support of achieving Backstop Waiting Times position
"Between 2010/12 the Northern health & Social Care Trust, according to their end of year accounts spent £228,900,000 purchasing care from non Health & Social Care bodies, the Belfast health & Social Care Trust has spent £271,060,000 in the same manner. It took a massive outcry from the public to prevent the immediate closures of some residential homes, as the debate in the Assembly showed that since December 2011 Transforming Your Care has been building momentum across health in Northern Ireland, a momentum that went largely unchallenged by the Assembly.
Still After 2 and a half years of talking about Transforming Your Care what is actually happening to health is still a mystery, during the consultation process the public had very little knowledge of what Transforming Your Care meant to them, this has not changed as the public are still unaware of what is actually going to be provided through Transforming Your Care.
" In the first transforming your care meeting in the Northern Health Area at the show grounds in Ballymena, only 9 members of the public attended out fo a population of over 450,000 people, 5 of those were from Save The Mid, even in this meetings I was being stopped by the Patinet Client Council from confronting John Compton on proposed health changes" " In this meeting no one agreed with Transforming Your Care but you will not see this represented in documents or statements given to the public" Hugh McCloy, Save The Mid
