52% Of All Patients Who Waited Over 12 Hours In A&E since January 2014 Were In Antrim Area Hospital.

Despite Antrim Hospital getting a new A&E that is alleged to be able to cope with 90,000 patients a year and a new ward it is clear that the back up in patient care is not available.

Mid Ulster Hospital has operational inpatients now that can be increased at short notice for a long term gain for inpatient care why these moves are still being stalled.

If you take into context that the patients who waited over 12 hours spend a minimum of 12 hours in A&E, the total amount of time they have spent the equivalent of 541 days waiting to be be treated or placed into inpatients.
