Sean Donaghy took up the position of Chief Executive of the Northern Trust on 20 September 2010.
Sean’s career in Health and Social Care (HSC) stretches back to 1983. He gained considerable acute experience during his four years at the Mater Hospital Trust.
That built on his community experience especially Mental Health and Disability gained when he worked in Trusts in the Northern and Eastern areas and as a commissioner of Mental Health and Learning Disability Services for the Eastern Health and Social Services Board.
More recently Sean has worked as Deputy Secretary for Resources and Performance Management at the Department of Health Social Services and Public Safety (DHSSPS).
