Following on from the elections Save The Mid is keeping commitments made to continue fight for acute services in Mid Ulster, the day after meeting and handing in a report to Mr Poots, new health minister, Save the Mid met with MP & Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness.
High on the agenda was a Health Minister finally recognising Mid Ulster Hospital, several concerns were raised including; Failing Ambulance response times that is leading to death and morbidity, the most recent performance of Acute services within the Northern Health & Social Care Trust, the pending removal of inpatients at Mid Ulster Hospital.
Following on from this meeting will be meetings with other MLA's and hopefully a delegation from Mid Ulster approaching the Health Minster to put forward the needs, demands and capacity of services for residents in Mid Ulster.
This should now be the beginning of constructive negotiations to provide a much needed health service for residents of Mid Ulster that are situated in Mid Ulster.
