Royal Victoria Hospital Showed Warning Signs That It's A&E Was Failing in Nov 2013, A Full 2 Months Before A Crisis Was announcedNorthern Ireland A&E's have been failing since 2010. This failure has led to compromises in patients safety and ultimately this has led to the death of some patients who otherwise might have been saved had our politicians and health managers actually acted in the name of patient safety.
The South Eastern Trust confirmed on Monday that A&E hours at the Downe Hospital in Downpatrick and Lagan Valley Hospital in Lisburn will be cut from 4 January.
A statement said: "Both emergency departments will be closed on Saturday and Sunday until further notice and will operate from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday.
